Barbatachtian 6: The Evil Wood (10-5-23)

I’m a glutton for punishment.

Year end review (31-12-22)

Hey there cool cats and/or kittens.

2022 is almost at an end, so it seems fitting for me to do wrap up of sorts for a year which has certainly been a year, both for good and for bad.

Firstly, I know that this website needs updating. It’s in the works.

Secondly, it’s been a proper grand year royalty wise. Thanks for Indie Nation Network and New Village Video, the films are still making change. Not anything I can live on, but it’s still awesome that people watch and pay for this dreck.

Thirdly, I came close to selling a script this year. I will sell one next year. That is my resolution. I know some people will scoff, but I willed myself to make a bunch of films and I did that so I’m going to sell a script damnit.

Fourthly, there’ll be a new book on Amazon at some point. It’ll be a book about my experiences making these films. I’ll keep y’all posted.

Finally, next year will see lots of new projects. There’ll be Barbatachtian: 1985, there’ll be a Christmas film (those make good bank at Christmas time), and I’ll be aiming to make a bigger film. Not sure which one yet, but I’ll be pushing for it.

For now, enjoy the New Year

See y’all on the other side.

Oh, and buy some shit on the store.

Shameless shilling (14-11-22)

Hola cool cats and/or kittens.

Did you know that if you rent Barbatachtian on Neq village Video that yours truly get royalties?

Well, you do now.

Barbatachtian: 1985 Update (30-7-22)

Good morning.

Day off from the full time job today and am tucking into some writing for the next Barbatachtian film, which is going to be really weird judging by this first draft.

Here’s a sneak peak.

Who are Louise and Drexel?

You’ll find out soon enough.

The Fifth Film (20-7-22)

I’m probably tempting fate, but that seems to be my thing.

So, without further adieu, and before film four is even released, here is the first poster for my fifth film, which is coming at some point next year and will have an actual cast and locations (no idea how but again, improvising.)

Coming 2023

The title gives it away, but it is most definitely a Western. It’s also a bit of a departure from what I’ve been doing, as the outline has a fair few characters and more intense, dramatic scenes, along with a more methodical, leisurely pace. I mean that’s what I’ve deduced from the outline and the six pages I’ve written so far at any rate.

The poster does have horror elements, but mainly it’s a straight up Western, albeit set in the modern day and in South-East England. Kinda a Western then, sort of… maybe!

It’s a film I need to make. I won’t stop making Barbatachtian films (one a year), and – indeed – I have a poster for the next Barbatachtian film as well, which I’m not releasing yet as I have an idea for the film that might benefit from… well, that’ll come later.

Anyway, while you’re here…
